Why a base plate?

A base plate is used to keep the immediate surroundings of a picnic set tidy. It prevents weeds or grass from growing under the picnic set. The space around the base plate is easy to maintain, because the base plate is placed at cutting height. The base plate is also ideal for placing the picnic set stably on an uneven surface or on softer grounds.

What is the base plate made of?

Like all other Heblad products, the base plates are made of concrete. They have an anti-slip profile in the form of a criss-cross pattern. This finish ensures that neither the visitors or players or the table can slip on the base plate. 

Delivery and installation of the base plate

If you ensure that the sand bed is prepared at the correct height, we will deliver the base plate and place it in the right location. In order to actually deliver the base plate to the right place, it is important that we can park our truck no more than five meters away. The base plate is placed in the right place from the truck with the crane. If you have any questions about installation and delivery, please read the terms and conditions of delivery or contact us. Please note that the base plate is always optional, it is never included in the price of a picnic set.

Which models of picnic sets fit on the base plate?

In principle, all HeBlad picnic set models fit on the base plate measuring 248 x 236 x 7 cm, both the standard picnic sets and the oval picnic sets, as well as the wheelchair-accessible sets. The XL picnic sets require two base plates.

Base plate for ping pong tables

Base plates can also be ordered for our game tables and ping-pong tables. Here too, plates must be ordered additionally, they do not automatically come with the product. If you want to be sure of the correct base plate or perhaps you are unsure whether a base plate is necessary, please contact us. We are happy to advise you.

What is the advantage of Bamboo?

Bamboo has the property that it can withstand moisture and temperature fluctuations better than traditional types of wood. The material 'wrings' much less and the shrinkage and expansion coefficient is low.

Does the concrete table need to be level?

No, that is not always necessary.

Unlike a billiards or table football table, the ball does not have to roll.
Football tables: Only our football tables must be placed level!!
Ping pong tables and foot volleyball tables: We place these with the bottom in place. In this way, the height of the table, measured relative to your feet, is the same on both sides. This is certainly an advantage if the children play the game "Around the table". They then do not have to adapt to a height difference. After all, if the table were level and the floor sloped, the table would feel higher on one side compared to the other.
Benches and picnic sets: In principle, these are all placed with the bottom. Our driver always ensures that the products cannot 'wobble'.

Is there a guarantee on our tables?

We provide a 10-year warranty on the construction of the tables and a 5-year warranty on the adhesion of the paint.

Can advertising also be placed on your products?

Advertising on our tables can often help associations and schools find a sponsor. We only offer advertisement options when ordering a concrete table football game. Our name can be seen in the stainless steel plate behind both goals as standard. It is possible to have a sponsor name or logo made here. The costs are not too high and the delivery time will be a few weeks longer.
